found me in th labyrinth. said my entrails would be better thn thread, had his arms around me + grip on my wrist, literally knocked me off my feet. there were def lips in my hair.
[The sound of someone moving through the maze closer to Ariadne is no imaginary thing. That he can't be seen yet just adds to the mystery. Is it Karl again? Is it something else? A minotaur?]
[ Whatever it is, it has her looking up, the throwing knife she'd been wiping clean on her pants suddenly ready to be thrown. She doesn't say anything, just waits. ]
[The sound, close to a rush of air and clamoring grows closer, first from the left, then from the right. It's as if there are two of them in there with her, but it's really just Jerry. When he finally emerges it's by a hand pulling at the edge of the wall. Check out this feat of athleticism, he's scaling the damn thing for her.]
[ She nearly throws her knife at the hand, the only thing stopping her being the fact that it's human-shaped and the fact that he speaks right after. Instead she sighs, relieved, sliding the knife away before running a hand through her hair. ]
Yeah, it's me. [ Pause. ] Please don't fall.
[ That's an emotional response, the logical part that knows he's a vampire having been turned off for the moment. She's just happy to see him instead -- and once that wears off, she'll be impressed by that athleticism. ]
[Thank god she didn't try or else he'd have to show off then explain how he caught it. Jerry makes his climb not exactly graceful but not clumsy either. Special talent. However he doesn't join her down below, instead he takes a seat on the edge.]
Don't worry about me. Let's worry about you and get you out of there. Can you reach? [For him, obviously.]
I'm allowed to worry. If you fall and break your neck, then it's me in a labyrinth with you and your broken neck and no one's going to be happy.
[ But she's headed over to the wall, staring up at it with a frown (she hates trying to reach things on the top shelf, dammit) before trying to reach up. She's 5'1", Jerry, she might need some help here. ]
[ And then they'll... figure out some way to get him up there. Either way, she steps up onto his back, knees complaining as they rub against her jeans (they slammed into the ground with her palms when Karl knocked her feet out from under her, after all). As soon as the edge is in reach, she grabs it. ]
Working on it. [ Luckily baseball and throwing knives mean Ariadne has more upper body strength than she did when she arrived in the City, and she manages to haul herself up top, straddling the wall before looking down at him. ]
[ She will, however, let go of his hand to pop herself up onto her feet and look around from her new vantage point. Like hell she's leaving him behind, especially if Karl's still lurking around. ]
[And if it doesn't appear that way now he'll just blame it on the walls moving. The second she's not looking in his direction Jerry makes a swift leap up. He grabs the edge like a fucking parkour runner, and if she's amazed that's exactly what he's going to say it is: he once dated a hip French girl into that stuff, none of this Assassin's Creed bullshit.]
Watch it, I'm coming up. [One leg up, then the next.]

[Jerry concedes then on second thought swings his legs over to hop down into the labyrinth. Right away he kneels.]
Step up. Grab the edge tight as soon as I get you up there.

Get all the way up. [He's pushing on her feet to help her not without a drop of vampire strength to go with it.]

You can try.
[He reaches out to her, hand to hand, as he knows the likelihood of her pulling him up is next to none.]

Come on...

[Tug tug. Jerry points over the wall to the other side, up and down the lengths.]
Walk around, maybe you'll find something. Or you could just tell me how to get out, you've got the advantage now.

How did you even get up here in the first place?

Excuse you Assassin's Creed is awesome.Ariadne's looking down at the ground on the other side when she hears his palms hit the wall and she looks back over, eyebrows raised. ]
You know, next time it might be easier to just bring a ladder.
[ Peering back down at the ground now -- on the non-labyrinth side. ]
